i've long searched for the planning method that works for me. i've since decided i simply need to make my own; so i did just that and i want to share it with you!
the details on how to download are listed below. but first, i'd like to give you a walk-thru of the language i've used and the things i'm tracking, so you can see how i use mine. if you'd like to skip, scroll to the download heading. otherwise, we'll start from the top.
i've kept these undated so you can fill in the date yourself. no pressure of skipping a day and leaving ugly holes in your planner! this is huge for me, as i'm very sporadic in my planning and general keeping-my-life-toghetherness, but also a perfectionist. a missed space in a beautiful planner is a nightmare to me!
m.i.t. = most important task. for me, this means the one things i will do each day to propel me toward my dream. for you, it could denote something with an absolute deadline that must happen. things that are not forgiving of whether you have the flu or just need a netflix binge in your pj's while the dishes rot in the sink kinda day, like paying your credit card bill. if you want to employ my tactic, i tackle my m.i.t. during my morning routine, aiming to get it done before my son wakes up. for that reason, the nature of these tasks is something very small and manageable, that is still keeping up momentum toward my dream.
top three is where i will put my tasks that i must get done to count it a successful day. different from my m.i.t., as these slots are inclusive of mundane tasks and not necessarily the fun, dream-propelling type stuff.
think: that week overdue load of laundry, grocery shopping, and studying for 1 hour.
meals is likely self-explanatory. i'm working on budgeting and meal planning, so this is a helpful reinforcement for me. my water tracker is also likely self-explanatory. one circle gets checked for each 8 oz glass.
***pro nurse tip here: if you want to know how much water you really need each day, take your weight and divide it in half. this is the number of oz of water you should drink daily. modify those circles as you need!
next up are my daily tasks i should be completing each day for an ~optimal lifestyle~. i've grouped my tasks into likeness/time of day. the first being my morning routine, then my daily mama tasks, then evening and night routines.
you'll see listed the m.i.t. i've explained above. miracle am refers to the steps of a miracle morning, an idea outlined in the book by hal elrod. i haven't ever actually read the book, just gleamed the routine from generous reviewers and have felt that would suffice. ha! i won't delve into what this routine is, as you can easily find more about it if you'd like with a quick google or pinterest search! i do recommend checking it out... totally life changing, and i've only just begun trying to implement it!
the times denote my daily schedule (in military time because #nurselife) thru my ideal wake and bed times. lastly, i included space to journal my daily gratitudes.
